Das gute alte Halloween Dudefest wird diesmal einen Tag vorgezogen – keine Terminkollision mit den doch so vielen Halloween Partys in der Stadt. Das Lineup ist extrem abwechslungsreich, mit der Kollaboration von The Body & Dis Fig ist ein Contender für Record of the Year im Haus – Orchards of a Futile Heaven (Thrill Jockey Records) ist experimentell-intensiv hoch 100.
Mit Living Gate geht es straight nach vorne – das Kollektiv aus Amenra- / Wiegedood- / und YOB-Leuten geht voll in die Magengrube. Typhuzz aus Karlsruhe haben sicher das Stoner/Doom-Album des Jahres hier in der Region abgeliefert. Top produziert und live groovig. Einige bekannte Gesichter sind in der Band, so auch beim Opener Bleak Monday – der eindrucksvollen Darkwave/Shoegaze/Electro-Band aus Karlsruhe, die gern düster-hart auch mal direkt in die Gehirnwindungen geht.

ABOUT DUDEFEST:
Reminiscent of the original Dudefest in Indiana, USA, this cult festival presents a widespread genre mix of the cream of the Postrock/Postmetal/Ambient/Drone/Noise/Chaos/Sludge/Doom scene. Dudefest happens twice a year – end of April, traditionally the same weekend as Roadburn and Doom Over Leipzig Festivals, and on Halloween. It’s an indoor festival in the big and small venue of Jubez Karlsruhe, the event and cultural center of the City Youth Council, also being the promoters.
